Samsung .bu File Viewer

A year or so ago I noticed that almost all of my JPEG picture files from my camera would no longer be recognized by any JPEG viewing program, such as Paint, Paint.net, Windows Picture Viewer, etc. At the time I thought it was something to do with the indexing (file name 100_####), because any of my other pictures that did not have that format would still load.
Even now, I cannot view the pictures or print them, but if I try to upload them to a website via the 'upload' link, I can still see the thumbnails! However, I am still unable to open them through that link and uploading these pictures will fail 100% of the time. This is driving me nuts......any thoughts?
